1697 (Ag) Forty Shilling. William II (KM-143; S-5682): Obv. laureate and draped bust left, value below drapery, legend surrounding Rev. struck en medaille, crowned quartered shield of arms, with an escutcheon of the Lion of Nassau, date at end of legend surrounding edge inscribed in raised letters dated NONO. Bold details and rare in this quality – none graded higher by NGC.
